About Kaye

At five years old, I had a Near Death Experience (NDE) while ill with pneumonia. I found myself in a seemingly endless living spaciousness. I was soon communing with Light Beings. What really got my attention was the crystal clear awareness of an undeniable, indescribable, and unconditional Love Presence in and all around me and everywhere. My NDE experience and after-effects have impacted every moment of my life since.

As I grew into adulthood, I developed an interest in astrology. It reflected the ebb and flow of my human life role and helped me locate a flow path within whatever happens.

After a few years of intensive study, I tentatively began interpreting astrological charts for others. As word of mouth spread quickly, I became a professional astrologer, helping clients worldwide expand their perspectives by looking into the cosmic rhythms within their charts. While this fantastic tool helped many, I looked additionally for an intuitive, heart-centered tool that would balance the intense analytical nature of astrology. That’s when the Tarot appeared, and the MotherPeace Tarot, to be specific. I entered another period of intense self-reflection and dove wholeheartedly into what I called a personal “Initiation into Tarot” that I would eventually teach. The mirrors in the MotherPeace Tarot images softened me and helped me keep my heart open even while experiencing some of the most challenging circumstances of my current role on Earth. I have given countless readings worldwide since and feel blessed I have been able to create a livelihood doing what I love.

In the late seventies, I got an idea and started a metaphysical bookstore for a friend who already owned a health food store. The bookstore was to be located next door and it turned out to be quite a success. A few years later, the same company hired me to envision and create a holistic healing center in their new expanded space. The Heritage Health Food Store, Book Store, Café, and Holistic Healing Center would become the largest holistic department store on the East Coast for over two decades and served over a million customers locally and worldwide. The Heritage Store. Book Store, Cafe and  Holistic Healing Center have downsized but still thrive in Virginia Beach. To have been a part of a team that helped so many people felt like amazing grace.

When my terminally ill daughter, Kelly, awaited a liver transplant in the nineties, she asked me how to talk to Angels. That night, I dreamed of a game that people could play to help them talk with Angels. I called two friends the next day who wrote Angels: The Lifting of the Veil. Deborah Taylor and Thomas Keller came over, and together with my husband, we set about creating a game for Kelly to talk with angels. Little did we know then that it would also help countless others. It was published through pure synchronicity by Penguin Studio Books and entitled The Angels Talk Game and Companion Book.

A few years later, I was contracted by another company to create a tarot deck intended to teach teenage girls to make wise decisions in romance. I also wrote monthly astrological columns and articles for the company’s website that often reached a million views. Finding how to weave wisdom into whimsey for young women’s best interests was a labor of the heart.

Another deep interest in my life has been an immersion into several Huna paths, culminating with a four-year deep dive into the practice of Ho’ala Huna, i.e., “to bring Light to that which is Real.” I recognized at once that the spiritual principles of the early Hawaiian tradition reflected my early NDE understanding of unconditional Love in practice. This practice in no small part deepened my ability to navigate daily life in harmony with Universal Law and Unconditional Love.

Over the decades, I came to see both in my studies and my everyday life that this Life is not all happiness and light or always doing what we love–not by a long shot. As Buddha said, “Pain is necessary. Suffering is optional.” I have learned the difference between these two the hard way. Again and again, I realized, even in the deaths of my two children after long illnesses, that the greatest Love I am and that we all are lies beneath the deepest, darkest pain and grief.

Soon after Kelly’s transition in 2006, Larry and I joined VBIANDS (Virginia Beach Chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies.) At Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., it was there that I first shared my childhood NDE experience publicly. It wasn’t long before Larry and I offered to volunteer at the speaker presentations. We heard hundreds of NDE s stories over the years and later served on the VBIANDS Board for years more until we moved to Ecuador.

It was 2015 that I had a dream that I would be moving to Ecuador. The next night, Larry, my husband, had the same dream! With our earnest intention via Edgar Cayce’s advice that “. . .the best dream is one applied,” we began take steps to see what might happen. We watched the door to each step we took fly open with ease, and a year or so later, we landed in Cuenca, Ecuador. We settled in this beautiful World Heritage Site, comfortably nestled in a beautiful valley, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the beautiful Andean Mountains.

Soon after we arrived, the opportunity to experience sacred plant medicine ceremonies presented itself. A series of ceremonies unfolded over the next couple of years where we came to see ourselves and the world dream in a new and different Light. The medicine also helped me move through the profound grief that accompanied my son’s unexpected demise in 2019.

After several years in Cuenca, in the spring of 2020, Covid hit. With this news came a profound dream. I saw very specifically that I was born for this time (as no doubt you were, too!), and my role was to “get out there” and share my perspective with those waiting to hear it. I had only a vague idea of what the dream meant, but I have been sincerely compelled in my efforts since then to tap into what value I have to offer “those who are waiting.”
